Oddly billowy curtain explained.
:( can’t find the alt-text button.
@elingregory There's an 'Edit' button in the right hand corner. If you click on that, it brings up the place where you can put your alt text. (And it also allows you to make sure the thing you want to be showing in your photo is actually in the thumbnail.)
@elingregory Also hurray! How lovely to see you over here :) *Big 'long time no see' hugs*
@galadhir 🥰 it’s a different atmosphere here from Tumblr and Twitter but very welcoming. I’m at the “poking buttons to see what they do” stage.
@elingregory I really like it here :) I've been here a couple of years (in ) and it's been a haven of gardening hints and solarpunk :)
@elingregory Which doesn't mean I know how it all works! I don't think I've poked all the buttons yet :)
@elingregory so it may be different for your client, but for me on #Tusky when I attach a photo to a Toot there's a little black "A" with a checkmark below it in the lower right hand corner of the photo. If I press the "A" I get a menu, and on that menu one of the options is "Set caption". That's how I set the alt text of the image.
