For the last year or so I've been making short form videos (up to 60sec) on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and PeerTube, that center around mental health and affirming each person as a unique individual.

These last few weeks I stopped because I was feeling repetitive. I was running out of things to say. So I decided to stop until I could figure out how to do it in a way that would not only help others, but gain traction so that more people could see them.

I'd like to ask for your help.
( P1)

This is what I need...

If you could go back in time, and talk to your younger self, and you only had 45 seconds, what kind of counseling would you give? What would you say to your younger self to inspire them to believe in themselves?

I want to take your answers and read them on video. I won't use your name if you don't want me to. My hopes is that you can bring ideas and perspectives that I hadn't thought of.

P2

If you want to make your own video I'll incorporate that too.

I've been making these videos as a way to give to others what I wish I had known when I was younger. That there's value in their uniques and that they are stronger then they think they are.

If you can help, either reply to this thread or dm me. If not. No worries. Maybe you could boost the first post in this thread so that others could see it?

Thank you for your help and attention.

Oh and here's my YouTube Shorts if you want to see what I've been doing... https://mrfunkedude.com/shorts/

@Mrfunkedude "If you leave, you can't come home. There's a name for what's wrong with you and you find ways to cope long before you learn that name. You've already learned how to do the things that bring you joy. Your children are amazing ...and funny!"
@lopta thank you.
@Mrfunkedude Sorry, I realise you were probably hoping for something more generally-applicable.
@Mrfunkedude Get good shoes, a good mattress, and take good care of your teeth.
@EarWitmess those are nice but I'm looking more for something you would tell your younger self to get them to believe in themselves more.
@Mrfunkedude Yep, that's it. Practicalities before propaganda. A younger me wouldn't listen to things phrased in a suspect way. Btw, I've been through a lot, and I'm not being flippant. Also, I always believed in myself. Too much so. An abundance of self-belief bordering on delusion, among other things, was the issue, which could have conceivably been assuaged by, well, better shoes, a better mattress, and the kind of mentality that would have taken regular flossing more seriously.
@Mrfunkedude Maybe also .... be humble ... and listen more.
@Mrfunkedude I would tell myself that what I see in the mirror is exactly what I need to be. Then I would whisper to take the meds. They will help you kick the bottle. Give a gentle foreshadowing to finding out my mom didn’t like me and being okay with it in the end. Throw in the spoiler alert that there is no god and religion is a fairy tale followed by the surprise twist that Bipolar explains a lot in hindsight, and I think I have a lot of notes my younger self might appreciate.
@canape thank you for sharing I'll dm you when I'm ready to show you what I have.
