Distracted by Chevrolet vehicles. Some features I like, some that would annoy the piss out of me.

In Bronze Age Britain, artists made a 100 metre long picture of a horse using trenches filled with chalk. For 3000 years people have regularly repaired the artwork, removing stray plants and topping up chalk. There’s something very beautiful about a chain of people with such wildly different experiences of the world preserving beauty and creativity across millenniums

Today is World Down Syndrome Day, and I want to celebrate my beautiful daughter. Watching her grow and march toward adulthood fills me with pride every single day. She brings so much love and joy into our home with her fun, sometimes quirky personality, and the laughter she shares with everyone around her. Life is brighter with her in it, and I’m endlessly grateful for every smile, every hug, and every song in the car we share. πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™

An amazing gold bowl with depictions of animals, crescent moons and cirlcles representing suns and/or full moons.
It was discovered in 1906 during the construction of a railway line in Zurich-Altstetten, Switzerland. Dating around 1000 BC. With a weight of 910 grams it's one of the heaviest gold vessels of the late Bronze Age ever found.

On display at Landesmuseum Zurich

First #bicycle ride of the season, just a short one.
@25kV Thought of you yesterday when I watched a video about the Monon extension to the South Shore Line in Indiana, USA. New track with 1.5kV overhead catenary, I think it said.

Having now failed to explain both evolution and reincarnation, my 5yo believes when he dies he will turn into a chimpanzee
