#ozu might be famous for his clever use of static shots but it's not because he doesn't understand how to use motion... It's just that he is very restrained and picky about when to use it. Look at this shot.. when during a quarrel the characters enters the room... His uneven stance and the little curtain flailing behind him .. just marvelous. #film #cinema
