I am not big on ceremony, but today I realized that they can serve as a time to reflect.

Five years ago my oldest was too shy to wear slippers made by her naanuk to her high school grad. Today she graduated as an RN and wore them with pride.

And remembered that she was so lost when she went away to school. The aboriginal centre and people there helped her find her way.

Since then, she has become a mentor to others, including her own siblings who watched her cross the stage and then talked about their plans to graduate.

@Telias those are beautiful! Congratulations to her and all of you.
@Telias This is absolutely lovely, congratulations to all
Image description: A photo of the feet of someone wearing beautiful handmade slippers. The slippers are medium brown leather and feature lovely beadwork of purple-ish red flowers with yellow centers. The slippers are lined with soft beige fur. There is black-and-white checkered beadwork ornamenting the sides of the slippers.
@oya Thanks! Not sure how I missed adding the description.
@Telias Np  Let me know if I explained anything inaccurately, I was a little nervous about that but I can remove or alter it
@Telias that's so great, and congrats to family!
