After the snow stopped falling, it remained on the ground and trees right up until we left, at least in Canmore. Enough of it did melt to give us an evolving landscape of highlights and contrasts.
I hear it's pretty firmly locked in "snow on the ground and not going anywhere anytime soon" mode now, though. The temperature's been dipping down to below -25C the last few nights.
