Good morning y'all ✨

Today I want to try something, a little #GodotEngine and #GameDev helpdesk 🛟

I have a few years of professional experience, so if you're stuck on a problem in your project and want to have me (and the greater community) take a look, reply to this post and I'll take a look! 👀

Unity / Unreal / other engine questions are also welcome, but i might be slightly less equipped to answer them :)

#GameDevHelpDeskWednesday (?)

I got several questions concerning finding work with #GodotEngine :

Finding work is relatively hard as the use of the engine on a commercial front is still niche. When people choose Godot it's spearheaded by someone in the company who will do the programming themselves.

If you want to find work in something niche in the games industry (Godot, etc), get to networking in your local gamedev spaces & be a visible part of online communities.

Being visible in your skill will land you the gigs ✨

@bram if you're open to something outside of typical game development, there might also be opportunities in other fields: I use #GodotEngine in my day job at a university, developing a landscape visualization for research on social acceptance. academia might generally be more open to Godot because its open nature can align with their values and methods better than commercial stuff. I'm sure there are lots of possibilities for Godot in other types of scientific visualizations!
@hexaquo @bram sorry guys, totally off topic but I saw GAME DEVELOPMENT and then I remembered I got THIS today! (pics attached). You should talk to Sir Ian Livingstone about your theory. He pisses on Beckett!
