If he had left it alone, it would’ve price corrected and adjusted its market cap and expectations accordingly (like other social media companies now). He bought it as a play toy to stroke his own ego and come off as smart and likeable, so he can tuck the 1% value he’d bring to Twitter and its previous successes, under his belt. This is probably a lesson to learn as investors and shareholders on what to look for in a leader.
