@BuildSoil @mk30 I was thinking of shaping it around actual practice rather than tools & platforms. So a space for people actually practicing regenerative methods somewhat professionally.
I like eMergy and full accounting, how would you imagine weaving that into the foundation of a community?
@8bitpal @BuildSoil i don't know what emergy is, but i like hte idea of shaping it around actual practitioners!
here's some of what i'd like:
* place to post garden pics
* place to ask for advice about what to do in the garden
* place to share about farm living: pig problems, pig solutions, wacky ad hoc inventions for doing things on the farm, discoveries, etc.
* learn about how other people garden, what's going on in their gardens, etc.
also, a place to share wonderful content like grandpa amu showing how to make a big stump stove! ^-^
@mk30 @BuildSoil Since it's not like a subreddit but more like a home for people to project out into the Fediverse I think going by praxis makes sense. Commercial producers and homesteaders using regen methods (holistic management/ rotational grazing, no-till, no-dig, food forests, distributed food systems, forest management).
Definitely explicitly feminist, anti-racist, anti-white-supremacy, anti-fascist, anti-authoritarian.
I think it makes sense to restrict things like NFTs.
@BuildSoil @mk30 100% landback and decolonial practices!
I'm setting up a small instance with closed registration (where people have to apply to join) to be able to handle traffic and let this emerge gently. I'll ping y'all when I've got the basics set up and will share a proposal for rules based on this convo.
@BuildSoil @mk30 I like the idea, would be cool to be able to incentivise low energy behaviour.
