Seriously though, fedi was *built* by furries, trans and queer folk, disabled neurodivergent people.

This is *the reason* the culture here is what it is. Why CWs are a thing. Why image descriptions are a thing. Why privacy matters here. Why moderation tools not only exist, but are usable — and used.

If you had joined and asked yourself "wow, how come this place is so chill and kinda… nice?" — that's thanks to all the nice people from communities some people call "weird".

So #KeepFediWeird.

The best thing I've done so far for my #Mastodon feed is to find the people who follow me on the bird app and follow them there.

Not the people I follow, the people who follow me. They're the ones who decided to be in conversation with me, so leaning into that crowd, so far, has been great #twitterMigration

Digging through our old #compost bin for red wriggler worms (we got a new Subpod Wormery 🪱), I was struck by the amount of “home compostable” #packaging plastic that did not degrade after two years. (Our composter was functioning really well and producing great compost.)

These companies and products should be held to account by regulators for their false claims.
