File also contains:

2. Link to a CSV version of the list. Take this, download, and import into #mastodon

3. Link to form to add YOUR name to that list. People added THEMSELVES.

4. Some random Mastodon tips including moving from Twitter.

#COVIDisAirborne #Covid19 #SARS2 #CovidIsNotOver #Masks #MaskUp #BetterMasks #Airborne #CovidPrecautions #IAQ

(Two posts down this thread is a link to my notes.)

EDIT: For clarity ADD ONLY YOURSELF not others.

You can add new users via the form link.

There is also a CSV version of the list, which you can download, and import. Let me know if problems importing. I haven't had time to test yet.

(edit: tested and worked for me. Let me know any problems you find.)

SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 notes

My scratchpad of notes, links, etc. Putting here for now.

Slowly moving my Twitter reference threads into it.

#SARSCoV2
#COVID19
#SARS2

I use these hashtags in mastodon on the web, in case anyone finds them useful.

You could add more, of course.

Then that column on the web will show posts with those tags

Impressive

I use Google Keep instead.

@paul_briley

It's better now that they've expanded the size of the notes that's for sure. I just find it easier to see everything in one document.

I haven't added very much to my file in a long time though. I used to add a link now and then. The next thing I knew it was a reasonably large list. I had it on GitHub but uploading was a pain. Lesson learned: if there's an extra step you won't end up taking the extra step very much.

I will add all the reference threads I know about at some point

@jmcrookston
I use the label function in Keep to cross reference stuff. I've got about 30 different labels covering #covid at moment. And they're expanding. I thought about moving them to Google sheets & have done so. But find additions so much easier with Keep.

I tried Docs with something else. But it became unwieldy when it reached about a dozen pages at least through the app.

@paul_briley

Interesting. I debated Docs and was wondering if it would have worked. Agree it is hard to edit on mobile ever, whether Office doc or Google doc

@jmcrookston What is the form link?
@lifstrand In the document there is a link to a form, which will ask you for your user@server. That ends up on the list, eventually :)

@jmcrookston is there any implicit expectation that users should only add themselves? or is adding others fair game?

(this has come up elsewhere, not sure I have a position)

@trendless I guess since they'll be imported it would probably be discouraged? I dunno. Is it impolite to put someone on a list to be followed by potentially many others?
@trendless Since there's a form, and so easy for the other person to add themself, I'd say generally should be the person? But that's just my impression.
@jmcrookston πŸ‘. That does definitely fit with the culture here: consideration, compassion, consent.
@jmcrookston thank you SO MUCH for the CSV!

@rnussbaum11

That's what I thought when I learned you could import CSV :)
