I wonder how big the total switch into Mastodon has been since Musk first threatened to take over Twitter. And how suitable the infrastructure as a whole and on the econtwitter server in particular is for a ramping up of the user base.

Really what matters is the volume of "toots" or posts. How people are interacting and using the platform matters MUCH more than signups.

Do you know if anyone has data showing if the # of tweets per day have gone down on the bird site by any statistical measure or showing the the # of postings to the fediverse has gone up proportionally to the signups (for that we likely need more time)
