One of the things I occasionally get paid to do by companies/execs is to tell them why everything seemed to SUDDENLY go wrong, and subs/readers dropped like a stone.

@garius Yep, although it was moving the servers to Russia that was the final straw. Folks had been grumbling more and more, buyout after buyout, which laid the groundwork -- the switch to the Russian terms of service then caused a stampede the likes of which I've never seen elsewhere.
