I got them to draw their desired faces with non permanent pen onto the surface, at age 2.5 and almost 5 they're not quite ready for sharp knives...

I had to enlarge the designs to make them cuttable, but I like to think I caught the expressions their drawings had!

Love that with LEDs we can get lots of light now without worrying about flames burning the lids :) #xp

@sarajw does the cinnamon trick work as well with LEDs? (Coat inside of pumpkin with vasoline so it stays fresher longer and sprinkle cinnamon inside so it smells better while lit)

@lexaprogrammer oh I didn't know either of those tricks, nice! They won't need to last too long to be honest, and I don't think the LEDs are hot enough to have an effect 😅
