What you want to know is, how many mastodon accounts someone uses, right?

It depends a little what 'actively' means, but I chose 3-5 it's at least 3 but maybe 6

And it's relevant if you count in federates accounts which ain't AP-compatible (e.g. status.net diaspora xmpp matrix...) some are often called to be 'fediverse' in that case it's more like at least 5 maybe 9 XD

@phranck In case you're interested, I did a similar (much smaller) poll in 2020 on the number of used accounts.

Such polls shouldn't be compared uncritically, but I believe comparison over time will show a trend towards additional accounts for special interests (possibly on themed instances).

I think that is a natural process that might reflect how humans take different roles (identities?) in different social groups. I'm curious how this plays out on the #fediverse.

@phranck Mehr als zwei Accounts im #Fediverse braucht man nur bei Schizophrenie oder fürs Marketing denke ich. Für letzteres ist die Plattform hier (zum Glück) noch uninteressant.
