I rubbed my forehead with the back of my hand and turned away from Embry the moment I heard the kid’s hand on the door.

Now it was my turned to watch the exchange between my kid brother and Embry. It wasn’t unseen, and it wasn’t like we didn’t know how Embry worked his magic. It was more the fact that he took the time to make the other person think they had a say in what was happening. When I knew the truth.
