#GameDev #music

It may not be much, but it's satisfying to be able to throw together a little riff as a homage to something else and just have my own chords flow naturally, putting what I wrote not too long ago into practice.

Of course I need to write the rest of the song, which is going to require deciding on a musical direction for the rest of the game. Solo dev means I usually get wrapped up in other things. I can't do "cool and smooth" for everything. XD

One thing that will help is keeping the number of tracks down. Roland MT-32 sounds great for Superhero League of Hoboken and SLW could maybe benefit from the same limitations of 5 voices and percussion. If it's enough for most rock bands, it should be plenty for me if I'm smart about it.

Once again going to plug #AnvilStudio for making this so easy.

Huh. I guess that's actually 8 voices and percussion. Munt just doesn't show it all in the interface. XD
