How about some #commodore64 porn today?
@shanermonroe Ooh, Archon! Loved that game back in the day 🀩
@mindbat My #amiga shareware company was named Dark Unicorn Productions as a direct results of that game. As we all know, there is no unicorn on the dark side ... unless, of course the Shapeshifter attacks the light side's unicorn. In which case ... you have ... well, you get it...

@shanermonroe Oh, cool! I remember liking playing the dark side more than the light (dragons *and* basilisks *and* banshees? c’mon!)

My older brother got an amiga at one point, the graphics on that thing blew my mind at the time πŸ˜…

@shanermonroe How was it developing for the #amiga ?

@mindbat
Honestly we cheated a little bit. We use some high level programming languages known as Blitz Basic and AMOS. Most people would consider that beneath them, but Blitz Basic was remarkably powerful and I continue to use it up to the PC.

That machine did a whole lot out of the box.

@shanermonroe Niiiice setup! πŸ‘

@krnlg Thank you! That is but one incarnation.

Now, I just drag out the SX-64 when I need real-device #commodore64 love

@shanermonroe
Man, I remember watching The Empire Strikes Back so many times on my #Commodore 1702 monitor (using composite from my #Betamax deck) back circa 1987

#StarWars
#Commodore64 #C64

@RL_Dane Giving me goosebumps man. I still have 3 or 4 working 1702s. Things are beasts of burden. When I still had a FMV cart for my #AmigaCD32 I watched Star Trek 6 like 200 times off VideoCD...
@shanermonroe
Glad you still have yours. That three-connector video connection was so incredibly clear: it was S-Video before S-Video even existed
@RL_Dane Yeah, for sure. I ended up hoarding a bunch of those (I know, you can make your own) over the years. Never wanted to be without.
@shanermonroe As a random zoomer who just occasionally plays c64 games through an emulator, Below The Root and Deus Ex Machina are both amazing games even today.
