I know #privacy #instantmessagers #menssaging is a hot topic right now, and everyone is "oh let's try #signal" how about if you try @session #session #GetSession? Very #private signal fork with no phone number, or if you still want a "traditional" signal in your life, how about a #hardened and #foss fork? try #mollyim instead.

Though they for sure represent high quality software solutions, the problem persists, that nobody else is using those platforms, and Signal does not federate. So for the moment being, I don't really see the value in that advice. If you wanna use something apart from the now very popular Signal, how about directly going for federated protocols like matrix or xmpp?

@session

@clayogra The value? take what it's worth for you man. People are moving to more robust or to no phone number solutions, signal are taking some questionable decisions lately, for this kind of reason people are moving to other solutions like #session #matrix #xmpp #wickrme #Threema #wire and even #telegram.

Probably when #signal release username still will use phone number like Telegram but with less social features 4/4

1) Element is very well done. I use it daily at work and in spare time. Of course, it does have some minor issues still, I give you that, but they are getting less and less at a fast pace. Encrypted rooms are working great as well, btw. Dunno where you get the idea from, that Matrix isn't meant for this. Telegram on the other hand doesn't support such feature.
@x41kla
2) I don't think Signal forks can currently use the official Signal servers. As far as I know, Signal only grants official builds access. But I am very curious, if you say you've got different information on that and in that case would like to ask you to share a source.
Reflections: The ecosystem is moving

At Open Whisper Systems, we’ve been developing open source “consumer-facing” software for the past four years. We want to share some of the things we’ve learned while doing it. As a software developer, I envy writers, musicians, and filmmakers. Unlike software, when they create something, it is...

Please add LibreSignal to f-droid · Issue #37 · LibreSignal/LibreSignal

Dear maintainers, I'm reading here: #28 (comment) that the people behind f-droid are willing to have LibreSignal distributed there. What they're waiting for is a pull request from you (last...

@clayogra 1) Bro that's what I said "they are improving". BTW #matrix got a massive hack on 2019, if you did not know it please look for technical information and host your own server. Encrypted public groups on matrix really? The last time I tried was a mess.

2) No offense man, are you trolling? What is the point of those links? I thought you will come with that. You actually tested any signal fork I shared? 😉 He can say whatever ... #moxie if you read it 🖕 #LinusTorvalds nvidia reference 😄

@x41kla @clayogra Matrix is the best. have had no problem what so ever. Why should I jump on a Signal island where I hang arround waiting for some people to accidantly sailing to it.
@fasse @clayogra oh come on #matrix lovers 😄 I'm just joking man. I not said to jump to #Signal I threw some signal clients alternatives that's all (for people already using signal), take it or leave it... And I said in one message that #matrix and #telegram have more in common with related features like public groups and stuff
