I have a growing urge to build stuff in the physical realm. Today's urge is inspired by the #GrowRoom created by Danish organisation #SPACE10.
It's basically a wooden sphere for #UrbanGardening, that's also a tiny room for people.
And they've released the design under creative commons:

@zatnosk god, I really want to put a bunch of gardening stuff up on my balcony come warmer weather
@halcy balcony gardens are amazing. My SO grew tomatoes on our balcony last year, and will do it again this year. Surprisingly successful, considering the climate in Denmark.
@zatnosk living in bremen, that's reassuring >>

@halcy to be fair, our balcony is south-facing and have brick-wall on three sides, which give shelter from wind and makes the most of the sunlight/sunheat.

It's not uncommon for it to be 2-3°C warmer on our balcony than just outside.
But given the right circumstances, it's definitely possible to grow tomatoes in "cold" climates.

@zatnosk Mine's southeast-facing, reasonably well protected. Mostly, it rains a lot here, really.
