Torn on next tech book between TLS/Let's Encrypt and DNSSEC 2e. (Too early to do #ao3e, the market won't yet support it.)

@mwlucas I like how the (current) results look like the poll is flipping you off
@phessler  The rest of the world does, why shouldn't the poll get in on it as well?

@mwlucas I feel that TLS/ACME/LE has a broader application ("know this one fundamental thing") and lower barrier to entry, that it fits better with the "IT Mastery" series theme.

That's not to say DNSSEC isn't also important, but I feel it's a more advanced topic with a lesser reward compared to getting people to use TLS and understand why they should use it.
Also, the number of DNSSEC-validating resolvers feels (subjectively) low, but all modern browsers check TLS and complain loudly.

@mwlucas PS: What's #ao3e? $SearchEngine was of no help to me. Am I a complete failure as a sysadmin for not knowing this?
@mwlucas Nevermind, found your FAQ! https://mwl.io/faq#books

Michael Warren Lucas
@mwlucas is it bad that I think all three seem valid/needed? Work-wise the first two would be a must-buy for me. Good luck!
@mwlucas as an OpenBSD user who is still fighting with a weirder relayd TLS/LS config despite your httpd and relayd book, I would like to see a “missing chapters” that expands a bit on the relayd with let’s encrypt section, but I feel like that would make a better blarg post than a book.

@abyxcos

Relayd has moved on from that book.

Really, there's no better way to spark development on a project than for me to write a book on it.

@mwlucas @abyxcos I bought the relayd/httpd book. I still find it useful. No ragrets!
@mwlucas dnssec 2e? Ao3e?
@david DNSSEC Mastery, 2nd ed, or Absolute OpenBSD 3rd ed.
@mwlucas ugh. Edition. I feel dumb now!
@david You got this far without feeling dumb??? Wow! I'm dumb every day!
@mwlucas this was especially egregious. It was really self evident!
