Why do I even waste my precious time by seeking to explain to useless liberals how you cannot defeat fascism by electoral politics and certainly not by pinning your hopes on parties who are little different than the BJP? Like I said before, it matters little whether the shit is warm or cold when you are in it up to your neck.

@NilimDutta I am curious to know your take on this article by the Deshabhimani CPI[M] mouthpiece in Kerala.

The challenges posed by Maoism; In countries where parliamentary systems exist, the struggles must be exercised

The post is in Malayalam but if you're on chrome you can right click on the page and translate it to English right then and there.

The post was written in the wake of a Police killing of a Maosit in Kerala.

@Koshy (1) If you are a Communist/Marxist, your fundamental ideological responsibility is to overthrow the *ruling class* and I have not heard of that happening through electoral politics. Anywhere. Ever. 1/n
@NilimDutta I would also like @pratheesh to weigh in on this thread.
@Koshy @NilimDutta : I think the point P. Rajeev is trying to emphasise in the article is not justifying parliamentary opportunism, however, to make use of parliamentary systems for the struggles. I am agreeing with @NilimDutta in one point, though. Fascism cannot be defeated by parliamentary opportunism or electoral politics. It has to be defeated ideologically. Congress is incapable of waging that war.
@pratheesh @Koshy The fundamental responsibility of a Marxist is to be unwaveringly committed to a revolution to overthrow the ruling class. You may use the opportunities Parliamentary democracy offers to build your party's strength but should never for a moment forget what the eventual goal is.
@NilimDutta @pratheesh What is the eventual goal?
@Koshy @pratheesh Why did I even write so many sentences if you have to ask me this again? 😆 What is the fundamental ideological responsibility of a Marxist? THAT !

@NilimDutta @pratheesh

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. I will stop if you don't want to take anymore questions.

I'm no communist nor am I an expert on communism. So excuse my ignorance on the topic.

"What is the fundamental ideological responsibility of a Marxist?"

From this I imply

Your taking about a communist revolution?

Does a revolution necessitate ending parliamentary democracy?

@Koshy @pratheesh My time is precious. Let me be forthright about it. Too many critical battles being fought on the ground. I will take questions. No problem. But follow my responses closely. The fundamental ideological responsibility is to overthrow the *ruling class*. And a Marxist can't remain stuck in the kind of politics which would not make it possible.
@NilimDutta Thank you for responding, I won't take up anymore of your time.

@Koshy @pratheesh //Does a revolution necessitate ending parliamentary democracy?//

The kind of fake democracy we have now? Absolutely ! The dictatorship of the proletariat would be exercised through the party and there can be no other party. Democracy would work in the manner as to how one would get elected into party positions and positions in the government.

@NilimDutta Ok, I can't resist, some more question.

So, like China. Are you in agreement with the current Chinese system of governance?
