Why do I even waste my precious time by seeking to explain to useless liberals how you cannot defeat fascism by electoral politics and certainly not by pinning your hopes on parties who are little different than the BJP? Like I said before, it matters little whether the shit is warm or cold when you are in it up to your neck.

@Koshy @NilimDutta : I think the point P. Rajeev is trying to emphasise in the article is not justifying parliamentary opportunism, however, to make use of parliamentary systems for the struggles. I am agreeing with @NilimDutta in one point, though. Fascism cannot be defeated by parliamentary opportunism or electoral politics. It has to be defeated ideologically. Congress is incapable of waging that war.

@pratheesh @Koshy The fundamental responsibility of a Marxist is to be unwaveringly committed to a revolution to overthrow the ruling class. You may use the opportunities Parliamentary democracy offers to build your party's strength but should never for a moment forget what the eventual goal is.

@Koshy @pratheesh My time is precious. Let me be forthright about it. Too many critical battles being fought on the ground. I will take questions. No problem. But follow my responses closely. The fundamental ideological responsibility is to overthrow the *ruling class*. And a Marxist can't remain stuck in the kind of politics which would not make it possible.

The kind of fake democracy we have now? Absolutely ! The dictatorship of the proletariat would be exercised through the party and there can be no other party. Democracy would work in the manner as to how one would get elected into party positions and positions in the government.
