Mastodon experiment update:

I was supposed to be off Birdsite till tomorrow morning but went back an hour ago to promote some stuff.

Immediately found myself unconsciously scrolling through the TL and getting angry. There has to be something fundamentally wrong with a platform that makes you feel that way.

Also read a few opinions about Mastodon.

Apparently, some people think this platform is the new escape for people with liberal leanings.

I guess it is. Because a platform like birdsite that constantly makes you feel angry is just plain unhealthy.

If you have to escape that crap, please do. Run like the fucking wind.

@Memeghnad I came here from Twitter a bit over a year ago and that was exactly my feeling. Twitter makes money by keeping people "engaged," and the easiest way to do that is to keep them angry. Here no one benefits from keeping the users angry
