There is something about stars that is calming. And there isn't a more awe-inspiring sight than the Milky-Way.

After all the happenings of today, I felt like looking at some of my #astrophotography shots to bring some balance into my head. This is a recent one shot at Hanle in #Ladakh.

This post describes the experience http://samyukth.com/2019/10/08/my-god-its-full-of-stars/

And this one demystifies the 'how-to' aspects, its quite simple actually http://samyukth.com/2019/08/29/a-galaxy-of-stars/

My God, it’s full of stars

Of birds, birdies and biryanis
@Samyukth So its 25 seconds on a 11mm. Thats one hell of a dark region and really good sensor. 😻
@pavi The night skies in Ladakh are quite something. Probably the clearest and prettiest that one can get in #India. And the image hardly does justice to it.
@Samyukth You had a similar pic in delhi as well. How come with delhi smoke you were able to shoot it? I think your lens and sensor are too good.
@pavi Nah, there is zilch chance of shooting the Milky Way in Delhi (or any Indian city). Even if you get a crystal clear sky, the light pollution will kill any chances. I use a Nikon D500 which is a high-end pro-sumer DSLR - that surely does help.
@Samyukth Ohh sorry I confused jaisalmer in your blog post 2 with Delhi gateway of India.
