@Paridhigupta #AcaTooters #introductions #india Hi! I'm Anirudh. I'm a geopolitics researcher and amateur historian. My focus area is the early medieval Deccan, c. 600-1100. I'm just generally interested in a lot of fields though so I'm looking forward to interacting with scholars and academics here and learning about their work!

(I'm also hoping to apply to Masters' or PhD programmes eventually and will be looking for guidance on how the application and funding process works)

(Assuming that is how Mastodon instances work, which I am not totally sure of if I'm being honest 😂 )

@AKanisetti no, but I've heard that it might help connecting to academic community. I don't think I'm going to be part of another instance at the moment, might be too time consuming. If you're there, would you please connect interested people here by tagging them? Would be really great and helpful in building the academic community here? Also no one knows ya how things work here completely as of now :D

@HiteshFulwani @AKanisetti @ub395 @Paridhigupta Hi, I sent them a request on Thursday, got accepted a day later. There's a strong research community with a commitment to inclusivity. Overall, it's pretty great. I'd recommend it once you familiarize yourself with instances. I guess their server is down since there's a large influx currently. Couldn't get on since morning.
