Ok, I saw someone offer an avatar for $8 and it's been like a week and I'm still upset.

If something takes you an hour, charge $15+. Can you really get a commission from brainstorm to execution to cleanup and adjustment and end up with something you're proud of in less than an hour? I sure can't... and it's *me* they're paying, not some faceless art-generation service, so people can pay me a living wage for my time.

Don't do that. Just don't. Don't pay someone to do that, either.

(an avatar is *not* a single-hour project, either. in case that isn't clear. or if it is, I really want to hire the person who can do this consistently to teach me some of their tricks! I haven't finished one in fewer than 3)
