what's your treesona and why
i think mine would be elder bc when i first started dissociating one of the few things that ever seemed real to me was the smell of elderflower. OTOH i've always felt very connected with hazel trees, i just think there's something cool about the way they grow the thin vertical branches and take so well to coppicing and stuff
@bryn pine tree because soft hugs all the time,,, if you know how
@bryn Dead apple tree because that's where the good mushrooms grow.
@bryn a japanese maple because we had one in the back yard growing up and i liked it more than anyone in my family
@bryn oh no this is Really tough for me! are shrubs allowed or should we restrict to tree
@alana as fursonas include non furry sonas, so treesonas include shrub sonas. go wild
@bryn 20% serviceberry, 80% swamp birch
@alana i've never seen a service tree but there was one marked on a fairly poorly edited village map we had framed where we used to live iirc. they're beautiful right??
@bryn when i get the right amount of tipsy i'm like "call me threebeer'd"
@bryn Methinks a hazel based on it's associations with wisdom/knowledge and creativity. It really speaks to me, and is apparently also my tree for the Celtic Zodiac. I'm not much for #astrology, but it's still creepily accurate...
@bryn dwarf birch or some other tiny shrub that grows in difficult conditions
@bryn paper birch

@bryn oh I forgot the why

- loved them since I was little
- black, gold, and white end up being my colors all the time
- first trees in new areas and I'm always early to everything

@bryn corkscrew hazelnut cause twirlyboys
@bryn quaking aspen because I'm tall and nervous
@bryn probably Juniperus communis because it sounds a bit like ‘communist’, it is a friend to wildlife and I had a dream once that I was wandering around picking juniper berries which was very relaxing, then I found out later that dreams about picking juniper berries are an omen of prosperity

@bryn

im more kin with plants than trees but probs a queen palm. tall, awkward, weirdly aesthetic, somewhat nostalgic in a way you dont understand.

@root plants are also valid!! fleursonas...... also this is filtered outside my menchies bc it says kin in it lmao

@bryn

oooh im sorry i didnt know if it was something i shouldnt say or something (but i like cobra lillies from california that's all i wanted to say lol mostly because i also exist well in an acidic bog and my fuinctions are mostly unknown)

@root don't be sorry! you can have a fleursona and a treesona...... it's very valid
@bryn magnolia. not entirely sure why they're just neat and probably more aromatic than I will ever be
@bryn Gravenstein apple because I can produce unique, beautiful fruit but only for a very short time before I need to go back to sleep for approximately several months
@bryn I'm not too smart about trees so I don't know what kind it is, but the tree that sits in the middle of my family's front yard. it has a small brick wall surrounding it and filled with a garden that never lasts more than a year. it's one of the tallest trees on the street because most everyone else cut their own big front yard trees down years ago
