@picklemaddierix I was born in 1949 so yes, I can assure you that I was personally oppressed by this concept as early as 1954. However, one need only look at the Old Testament or classical Greek literature to see that the false notions of binary gender are much older.
@picklemaddierix Read about the blind philosopher/prophet Teresias, for instance, and compare that to the rather more fluid gender ideas of some native American cultures. 😉

Gender is a scam invented by URINAL companies in the 1960's in order to sell their new product, urinals. Think about it, everyone is XX starting out and sits down to pee, the Y chromosome was created after the invention of the urinal to create demand for the product!

Rob / OGTrekker@picklemaddierix @Kye when I traveled Europe, many countries have unisex bathrooms. The toilets were closed rooms and the sink area was shared. No one had a problem. It’s more equitable for everyone.

Faelan@picklemaddierix: There might have been a wave to popularise it once Big Loo realised they won't be able to sell "colored bathrooms" anymore, but the scam really began in the late Victorian era, when Big Crapper started lobbying that now that women were frequently seen in offices, we would need separate toilets because of reasons they made up and kept changing until they settled on "It's obvious!".
