JonCpersonwhat's everyone's opinion on background noise while writing? Music, podcast, television? I'm definitely a music guy specifically lo-fi hip hop beats.
Guns of Chekhovia@Joncperson Not a fan. I used to think I was the kind of person who needed music at all times... turns out I'm not at all. If I really want to get stuff done, I have to give up the notion of multitasking and have as little distraction as possible. I can sometimes handle music without lyrics while writing, but I really do better with no music at all.
@gunsofchekhovia I get oddly stressed out when I'm writing in silence. Also, a lot of times I'll pick a type of music that fits the mood I'm trying to convey. I feel like I can take it in like osmosis and then push out a byproduct of the mood and my imagination combined.
