Spring arrived today, so my mind turns to #gardening. I have been collecting #Iris germanica, now I have 4 colours including variety Fabian, which was popular in the early 20th century and still persists here and there. In #zone5 these beauties bloom in June.
A few last snapdragons holding on after the light frosts this #autumn, still no hard frost for our #zone5 #gardening efforts, so maybe a few more opportunities for #bloomscrolling

Just planted a fuck ton of bulbs in the garden. #Anemones, #allium, #tulips, and #fritallaria. Got three different varieties of allium, including a blue variety I don’t recall seeing in the past. Added the blue allium to my front red, white, and blue “victory garden.”

Everything else is in our backyard which is mostly purple flowers but is generally a free for all.

There's always one last zucchini hiding. #Gardening #Zone5 #Zucchini #Cucumbers #Habaneros #Tomatoes
This is the last of the cucumbers but still plenty of tomatoes on the way. #Gardening #Zone5 #Cucumbers #Tomatoes
Still getting tomatoes and peppers, but the cold killed the zucchini and cucumbers. I could get a few more sweet peppers and habaneros if I can keep the plants warm enough at night. #Gardening #Zone5 #Tomatoes #Habaneros
Despite night temperatures in the 40s F, I'm still getting tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. #Gardening #Zone5 #Tomatoes#Habaneros #Cucumbers
Oops. Should have picked this one sooner. It was hiding. 17 inches. Nearly 1.4 kg. #Gardening #Zone5 #Zucchini
Not many bee balm flowers left in my garden. The bumblebees are staying busy on the flowers that remain. The birds have started eating seeds from the others. #Gardening #Zone5 #BeeBalm #Bumblebee
