First attempt at charging my new #EV has failed. Drove to the relatively new charging points at the reservoir, listed as #Electroverse compatible, only to find that the charging point codes are totally different so can’t use that app. #ZapMap has same wrong codes. No contactless option. Tried to download the station specific app (Mer) and it crashed halfway through uploading payment card and now doesnt recognise my login.
Gave up and came home 🤬It’s not just you @RobeeShepherd

Weird... a status I left on a charging point on #ZapMap has disappeared. No notification or anything, nothing there at all when I went to look back at what rate I had pulled from the charger.

Just following up on my recent discussion about #EVChargingApp choices in Europe.

#ZapMap describes itself in the App Store as a 🇬🇧 charging app, so I haven’t loaded that one for a trip to 🇫🇷.

I have loaded #ABRP so I’m checking that out.

Finally, #ChargeMap. This one requires a free registration to see much, so I’m going to do that.

I’ll only be renting for three days, and I’ll be busy, so we’ll see how much information I can share.

🚨 HELP! 🚨 Traveling to Europe again. There are some good EV rental options. But… There’s an app that Martin from #WiselyAutomotive in London 🇬🇧 recommends for finding chargers on the European mainland. Does anyone know what it is? I don’t have time to rewatch all his YouTube videos to find it. 😑 #WeirdCar #EV #EVChargingApp

#Zapmap is really becoming useless. There's multiple chargers I know of yet are hidden because I don't pay for premium.

Literally finding chargers is the core part of Zap Map, so not being able to find them just means I use plugshare more.

Does anyone know if there's an app that sends you notifications when a specific charger unit becomes available?
Frustrating going between Chargeplace Scotland and Zap Map etc

Zap-Map - shows the UK has 5,892 charging locations whilst South Africa has about 100 countrywide

Nevertheless, this is a very useful resource for UK EV drivers showing location, type of station, available charging points and status, etc. The real bonus is that the UK is pretty evenly distributed in terms of its coverage so the investment can be seen to have been made.

On the plus side (with a dose of sarcasm) for South Africa as Nissan has only sold about 100 Leafs this means each driver has their own charging station.
