#LineageOS bietet sich an, da es #OpenSource ist und für den Betrieb auf unterschiedlichster Hardware vorbereitet ist.

So ähnlich läuft es schon seit Jahrzehnten. #DBox2, #Linksys #WRT54G, Windows Mobile PDAs,... bei allen wurde die #Firmware reversed und dann wurden Alternativen entwickelt.
Teilweise sind aus diesen Entwicklungen neue Produkte, Firmen oder Communities entstanden.

Ob man diesen anfänglichen Versuchen vertraut, bleibt natürlich jedem selbst überlassen. Ich find's jedenfalls super. Endlich geht sowas mal wieder 😀

Die Linksys #wrt54g konnte man eindeutig besser stapeln als die TP-Link #ax23.

Aujourd'hui, dans la benne de DEEE du bureau, j'ai récupéré un routeur #Linksys #WRT54G V1.1 😍

Branché immédiatement une fois de retour dans mon bureau, il fonctionne parfaitement et était déjà flashé avec DD-WRT mais carrément pas à jour.
La petite v24 SP1 des familles plus tard, c'est opérationnel 👌

À moi la modernité et la performance de 2002 avec un joli appareil 4 ports 100Mb/s et du sans fil IEEE 802.11g 🤘🤘

Demain je tente le mode client 😎

Watched a YouTube video about the WRT54G tonight, so of course I had to pull out mine just to look at it, I even had the fancy high gain antennas.

This thingwas the heart of my family's network for many years. I'm tempted to try and boot it up since I know I had some custom firmware loaded on it, I had DDWRT at one point, but I think I switched to something else near the end, was it tomato or something like that?
