World Hindi Day – 10 January

World Hindi Day is observed on 10 January to promote Hindi as a global language and highlight its cultural and diplomatic reach. The day recalls the First World Hindi Conference (1975, Nagpur) and Hindi’s first address at the UN in 1949. Celebrations are led by the Ministry of External Affairs through Indian missions abroad.
