I’ve added a new 10G XG switch with POE, finally using that Lack table hack as a 19U server rack I built years ago. The new switch powers a door hub mini and per emails exchanged can be used with a #Winkhaus multipoint lock & EAV4 motor turning it into a smart door via #UnifiAccess and I’ve also replaced the #Yale burglar alarm with #UnifiSuperlink alarm and sensors.
I also got a G6 Bullet, I’m hoping to be able to open door with just my face as ID and auto locking. Using #Nuki and #AppleHome which purported to have much of the functionality I wanted but both just too unreliable and irritating to boot. With the door it also has a G3 Reader so will also have face/nfc/pincode options. Perhaps, finally, key free. Powercut? AlexWinkhaus closings for windows advertise that they can supply smart sensors for open/closed status, however it is impossible to buy them online. Need to be a business, and you get a German catalogue, and an email address to contact in the Netherlands... it seems they don't really want to sell.
