- talked to my mentee about thesis submission & defense
- gave a PhD student feedback on work & talk
- narrowed down a survey data artifact
- brought the postdocs to a new lunch place
- listened to a faculty job talk (not that good)
- talked to my mentor about reference letters & supervising
- attended a journal club
- read a paper for the journal club
- thought how to solve a family conflict

Granted, I'm high and generally not an optimist but I'm afraid this might have been the last relatively peaceful day.

The "righteous citizen" assholes all just got activated. We already had the government goons established with ICE but we hadn't opened the floodgates for the everyman to start shooting.
