@Skip I emailed a state official to make sure I am following the correct procedures to register, as I am new to registering here.

Thankfully, I live near the state capital, so if I have to go in person to get squared away with my "identity documents," I will.

I am also a short drive from my former state, so if I need more paperwork from them, like birth certificates, etc., it's #roadtrip time. I would have had to do this anyways to satisfy the #RealID https://www.dhs.gov/real-id driver's license requirements coming down the pipe, so this is OK with me.

I am the first generation in my family not born under legal segregation, my youngest siblings are in their 30s. Hundreds of years of slavery, Jim Crow, etc. only 59 years with a modicum of
