The same Jesus who said 'I am with you always,' (Matthew 28.20) also said 'You always have the poor with you,' (Matthew 26.11) and 'As you did it to the least of these, you did it to me.'

Our Christianity needs to be about caring for the poor and dismantling the unjust systems that make them poor, and also about loving and honouring them as the presence of Christ in our midst. If it's not, then are we really loving and honouring Christ?
