I recently stumbled across this series of blog posts by the Bishop of Wisconsin where he seeks to “capture something of the spirit of the Anglican tradition to which the Episcopal Church belongs.” Each post contains quotes from a variety of Anglicans reaching from the Reformation to the present day, addressing various aspects of our tradition. This is a link to the first post, but I found in all of them great insights into Anglican Christianity.

Today we'll be discussing how big God is. We often focus our attention on the immanence of God, and our more intimate relationship with Him, but it's important that we also remember that God is BIG.

Happy #Easter from the Saint Mary’s ‘ohana!
At St Mary’s we don’t do the Easter Vigil at once. Instead, on Holy Saturday, we gather on the church’s lawn around a fire and read the lessons and hold the first part of the liturgy, known as the Service of Light. This year, due to scheduling conflicts, I pulled double duty as both Officiant and musician. My wife snapped this photo of me (well, a sliver, on the left w/ my ukulele) and a few of the faithful hearing again the story of our salvation.
Today we conclude our series on the first part of the apocryphal book Wisdom of Solomon.
It's going to be a little earlier than usual today because of some family business that I have to take care of. So join us live at 11:30 am Hawai'i time (and of course, whenever after)
