12 May 2022 - Next up, Vila Praia de Âncora

Next we were off to Vila Praia de Âncora. We actually had a few more hills this day, and then, we saw some spectacular fields of wildflowers. It seems only fitting, then, that in V.P. Âncora we also saw some stunning floral displays around the city. This hike also had a fun “water feature”, with a footbridge crossing a pretty stream. Besides the sights, this trip was an opportunity to talk with my parents as they age (and aging certainly was one of the topics). Some day I’ll need to write more on the subject, but at present, I’ll keep it private. Suffice it to say, the beautiful scenery, and great walks, were backdrop for trying to speak a little more deeply on life with each other.
