Latest on my "#MegaDrive / #SegaGenesis games I've beat in 2023" list is #Verytex, a Japan-only release from Asmik.

Starts out kinda neat, as a competent but not overly exciting shooter. By the end, however, the game totally falls apart. Definitely not worth the price it now goes for, should anyone be considering it.

Does have some great soundtrack moments though, especially the first stage music.
