This will be one of the few us political post I do. But Democrats retain control of the Senate.

@gbrockell poor performance and winning the house may be preferable to good performance and losing it. Just saying...

And please don't get me wrong, I would be happy to see see Trump and all the little republican trumpets gone. But they are still around.

As someone who grew up in Boebert’s district, I am not surprised that she is facing a possible loss (though it’s not over yet). Southwest Colorado is a far cry from northwest Georgia or East Texas and yet she acts like she represents one of those deep-red areas. #USElections22 #Boebert
#USElections22 if the #republicans take congress and stop sending aid to #ukraine I will set up a recurring donation for what little I can to NGOs in the area to at least help people get out or get help. I feel so shitty as an American that #aid to #ukraine is a political issue. Money is just an entry in a database anyway …
Watching the #uselections22 results. Early days, no sense yet of how things are going.
This story by Amy Gardner in The Washington Post is a rare example of reporting that exposes the power issues involved in voting battles — often US outlets present these as process questions instead of showing 1) The motives 2) the stakes 3) the impact. I worked with Amy when she was a reporter at The News & Observer in Raleigh and she has done some of the best work on #democracy and #USElections22 #midterms https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2022/11/07/gop-sues-reject-mail-ballots/
