Early voting appears to be working just fine in New Mexico.
This morning, around 8AM I dropped my mail-in ballot envelope in the drop box outside the Otero county clerk's office.
The 6PM early/absentee voting *report shows that the ballot was received/accepted/processed.

Attached: 1 image Early voting starts soon in New Mexico. I have submitted a data request to my county clerk. Why? I'm assisting some local campaigns, and the county clerk will send out 'dailies' during early voting. They show which voters have cast a ballot in person, or requested an absentee ballot...and shows the status of the absentee ballot (accepted, or only requested). We will remove early voters from our canvas/knock/call lists. As it gets closer to election day, and a voter has not submitted their absentee ballot, we may visit or call them. Local elections - if you don't support your candidates for village council, school board, etc....nobody outside your county will...they'll be too busy chasing the big campaigns that will be voted on in 2026. #NewMexico #Voting #Elections #Community #CommunityBuilding #Neighborhood #Local
Please boost! 59 pages (Thousands!) of #Philadelphia mail-in ballots that will NOT be counted unless cured by the voter. Note: Pennsylvania has new strict rules for its mail-in ballots which include tossing a ballot if it isn’t dated. (Guess which party pushed for these rules?)

I read that in Arizona the fire was set in a US Postal Service Mail Box in which there were a number of mailed ballots.
I’d think firebombing a USPS mail box gonna be a pretty serious crime.

Republicans are asking the U.S. Supreme Court for an emergency order in Pennsylvania that could result in thousands of votes not being counted in this year’s election in the battleground state. Just over a week before the election, the court was asked Monday to step into a dispute over provisional ballots cast by Pennsylvania voters whose mail ballots are rejected for not following technical procedures in state law. The state’s high court ruled 4-3 last week that elections officials must count provisional ballots cast by voters whose mail-in ballots were voided because they arrived without mandatory secrecy envelopes. The election fight arrived at the Supreme Court the same day Virginia sought the justices’ intervention in a dispute over purging voter registrations.
A provisional ballot is one that is not counted unless your original ballot doesn't show up. (If the original does show up, then the provisional is discarded.) We have to deal with this regularly, as there are voters who ballots get mangled or otherwise rendered unusable that they surrender to us at the polling place, fill out an affidavit that their ballot was destroyed, and then cast a provisional ballot.

Oregon folks - If you dropped in an early ballot in one of these boxes, there should be some tracking information that will indicate that the ballot was not received in a timely manner. Check in with your local election authorities to see how you can vote provisionally, if local criminals will be lighting these drop boxes on fire.
