Spotted this strangling fig growing out of an old phone booth. These figs get into the strangest places. Looks a bit like an altar to some sort of urban regeneration. #urbanFicus
I thought that these were some sort of pipe, but upon closer inspection it was actually strangling fig roots growing through the gaps of tiles. The straight and right angled growth patterns caused by the interaction between plant and paving are really interesting. #urbanFicus #urbanEcology
