A Break from Blogging

I was in Spain for three weeks. I had planned to blog while I was there. I didn't because my mac book pro was misbehaving when I tried to connect to three or for Wifi networks. Last night I tested it with another wifi network and I had similar issues. I think that there is an issue with the wifi device n the machine.

When I tested it using my mobile phone as an access point it behaved as expected, but that's when there is less than a meter separating the laptop from the wifi hotspot.

The other reason is a lack of inspiration. I find it challenging to find something to write about seven days for months in a row. Yesterday, or the day before I saw something celebrating people that create open source projects out of passion and pleasure, without them being noticed. There are blogs. vlogs, podcasts and more that also go without notice. I don't think this is negative.

I believe that by writing, talking, recording videos, taking pictures and more, and sharing them on our own sites. we are healthier than if we spent time scrolling pointlessly on Social Media.

Before writing this blog post I saw a Guardian headline about children in Australia feeling free without the pressure of social media. It's not social media, if you're posting in the hopes of becoming an influencer- For me, without being a social network, social media is worthless.

If no one responds to a tweek, a skeet, a toot, a photo, or other, on social media, then it makes sense to take a break from being creative, as I did. It also makes sense to pivot away from social media, and reverting to social networks.

Not Physical

When I was in Spain it rained, regularly. That's why I didn't cycle or things that would be worth writing about. If I had explored a new cycling route I could have written about that.

I did explore new walking routes during my time in Spain. I ran from one village to another, and found that Spain is as hilly, if not more than Switzerland. I found that I could run upwards for over half of one of my runs.

In Switzerland for steep inclunes you head to the vineyards. In Spain for steep inclines you just run between villages. One day I went for a walk when it was raining heavily. The road had become a river and I was walking against the current. The stream was just deep enough for it to be passable with normal shoes but I had to switch sides to avoid flooding my shoes.

In one case I had to cross a puddle that was just deep enough for water to trickle into my shoe. Luckily it didn't soak my socks.

Regular Rain

I suspect that if it had not rained for two or three days at a time, and if the weather had been good consistently, that I would have cycled more. I had seriously considered taking my bike to Spain, until I got knackered on a ride in Switzerland.

I'm glad I didn't. It would have been a big effort for no reason. I managed to do the two rides I often do when I'm there. If the weather had been better then I would have explored. I would have explored cycling routes, and groups to ride with.

And Finally

With luck, by taking this break from writing, I avoid the trap of writing more and more negative posts, from lack of inspiration.

Could this place look more boring?

What can I say about #Possessions? Besides the fact that’s the #worst #movie from 2024.

A movie about an #StorageUnit facility that reminds me that #TVshow named #StorageWars.
The only real #horror on this movie is that there’s not good items in the units.

By far the most #uninspired horror movie with generic #PlotTwists and a #crappy ending that I’ve ever seen.

Please do not watch, not even if your life depends on it.
