This is not a funny-looking aquarium – but the tank of the dark matter experiment #COSINUS. It which was filled with 269 cubic meters of water in three weeks. The water in the tank surrounds the actual experiment. 

The water shields the experiment from unwanted background noise stemming from radioactivity or other particles.

COSINUS will start its first measurements by this year. Good luck!
