Kelp and FernFour years ago to the day, Gordon Hughes and Vic Izzy Owens took on the Lon Las Cymru, a 250+ mile ultra-marathon race by Mark Cockbain. The race only occurs every 2 years and is currently being held again with all the participants now past this point and well on their way through mid Wales.
It takes on the entire length of Wales, from Holyhead in the north to Cardiff in the South and you have a time limit of 88 hours and is the longest road ultra-marathon race in all of the UK.
No welsh person or woman had ever finished this race.
