At the center, General Levy is captured mid-performance in grayscale, with expressive dreadlocks and a commanding mic presence. Surrounding him are vivid, partially colorized shots of other band members: a DJ at turntables, a guitarist, and a drummer โ€” all performing with intense energy. The background is a chaotic explosion of red, green, and yellow abstract lines and arrows, creating a high-energy, urban jungle aesthetic. The title "WE PROGRESSIVE" is bold at the bottom in a gradient of white to bright yellow, and the artistโ€™s name shines at the top in a mix of green and metallic silver. The design channels the spirit of live reggae, jungle, and dancehall culture with an electrified, rebellious edge.

Aswad Review by Stephen Cook

Aswad's debut on Mango is still one of the band's strongest efforts. Nicely displaying the group's jazz-tinged, roots reggae sound, Aswad features such vocal highlights as "Can't Stand the Pressure" and "Concrete Slaveship," as well as the fine instrumental "Red Up." And while not as successful as their British peers Steel Pulse, Aswad still qualifies as one of the best roots outfits to emerge outside of Jamaica. A fitting start to the band's long and impressive run.

Matumbi โ€˜Seven Sealsโ€™ as good as ever

Itโ€™s been a while since I listened to this. Itโ€™s a pretty smooth bit of UK reggae from the late 1970s. As good as I remember. #music #reggae #ReggaeBands...
