60 years ago... A young boy wanted to be in the band. Band director inspected teeth - "#trombone or trumpet". Mother took out a loan to buy a trombone. End of the year concert - another kid plays "Red River Valley" on guitar. Young boy suffered with trombone till the Beatles, and mother took out a loan for a guitar. Five times at the 1-year mark on the piano/organ, 1 year on Bodhran and bag-pipes, 20 years learning the flute.

Still only play notes, never sounds like music.
