iferA tradition in my family is to gift painted paddles for big events/formal additions to our family. We get together and paint the paddle with something meaningful for the giftee. Who does what varies, though my dad is usually on varnish duty. IIRC I was the one who chose the reference pictures, drew the design onto the paddle, and maybe the one who finished up the tail? I'm not sure about that though.
